I saw so many films that gave this impression that when I grow up that there will be flying cars, and instead of doing a driving licence, I’ll be doing a flying licence. They finally tested out and it looks amazing!

What company do you wonder? Well it is not BMW or Mercedes its AeroMobil. An advanced engineering company that is commercializing a flying car. IT will be launching its new model of AeroMobil Flying Car at Top Marques Monaco show, on April 20, 2017. AeroMobil is completely combined aircraft as well as a fully functioning four-wheeled car, powered by hybrid propulsion. By combining aero and car functionality in perfect harmony it heralds a new era in efficient and exciting travel, offering users an unparalleled choice of transport on the road or in the air.

How much will it cost? The prototype is work in progress and only after completion of the certification and homologation both as a car and as well as an aircraft we will be able to set the final configuration and therefore the final price span. Expect the price combination of sports car and Light Sports Aircraft (LSA), several hundreds of thousand Euro.

If you want to drive and fly it you need a licence!

Private Pilot License (PPL) is recommended. However, we expect that for the early version of AeroMobil Sport Pilot License (SPL) will be sufficient. Training requirements for these licenses vary country by country, but minimum 40 hours of flight training is strongly recommended.

This could be revolutionary, saving space on the roads, quicker transport and higher bills! It sounds good but is it really?? Only the rich will be able to afford such an expensive luxury that I will constantly dream and wish for.

Animals could get hurt, the cars are already taking over with cat’s underneath them, running over dears, rats and other animals. The pollution killing us and them. I hope the flying cars are environment and animal friendly. Ironically, I am watching the movie K9 and it recalled how will dogs ride with fire trucks or police cars like in the movies? It will be so weird, right?!

Imagine when parents take their children to school, they will fly them and not drive them or school buses, what will happen to aeroplanes or helicopters, this is bringing about so many questions on that this flying car is going to have the effect on society.

As wonderful, helpful and life-saving as google already is they have made the search engine even more better with the new fast check feature!

For me personally google is one of the best search engines, it helps me with everything, from finding me a nice place to eat, directions to where I am going or giving me definitions to long words, which is very often! Google has provided me an education. Yeah sure, I go university and there are very amazing teachers there, sometimes google does it better. I mean the amount of time I devote on google is actually ridiculous, for example, yesterday I was researching Rastafarians because I was just curious. Guess who found the information for me, put it a neat list, and even read it to me… GOOGLE!

BBC News says that:

“The search giant will now highlight “authoritative sources” in search results, with a summary of claims that have been fact-checked. Google says sites will be judged authoritative by an algorithm and the company will not be fact-checking news stories itself.” (if you are interested just click on the link! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-39527644 )

Google announced the fact check feature on its News search site in October, and now finally has added it to its regular search results; for me and you to make the most of. Thank God!

This will allow everyone to get more valid results and data when researching, or searching anything that is important. As the tabloids and social media often misrepresent politicians for example, or provide false information this can be very frustrating, (yet interesting) for anybody who is trying to do an assignment, or simply researching. This will certainly allow everyone to get more out of google.

Pebby the pet sitter

Pebby is a recent invention for all the pet lovers who got obligations such as work, school, or even go shopping!

Technology has updated to an extent where it can supervise your pets. This amazing yet weird invention has a built in camera so you could see what your pet is doing. As well as playing with your pet so it don’t get bored!

Here’s how it’s supposed to work. The PebbyBall is a small, lithium-ion-powered robot covered in a polycarbonate shell that’s supposedly “shatterproof” and “waterproof.” Your dog or cat can bat around this 3-inch robo-ball just like any other toy, but there are also some hidden smarts inside. You can set the PebbyBall to “Auto-Play,” “Auto-Follow” or “Auto-Repel” mode or use the related Pebby app on your Android or iOS device to control the ball yourself.

The PebbyBall also has a built-in 720p high definition night vision camera inside. That means you should be able to view a live video feed and even talk to your pet via its two-way intercom function. I’m not sure how well a rolling ball would be able to capture video, but it’s designed to run for up to 1.5 hours of active time and 15 hours in standby mode. When your PebbyBall’s battery is low, it’s supposed to return to the PebbyKennel charging dock just like a robot vacuum.

Its bloody expensive, ill tell you that for free, Its $124 (roughly £100, AU$165 converted). Go the pund shop, or dollar store or to a charity shop and theres perfect toys there! What is the point of spending so much money on a toy, that you pet  might not even like! My Frenchie for instance, enjoys playing with the lids of bottles, she goes crazy over them. Once I dropped a patatoe whilst cooking and she went BONKERS! She couldn’t leave it alone, so I got she a mickey mouse bouncy ball, and she looked at me as if I was bonkers. Honestly, I think anybody should think twice before

Would you trust a robot ?

Imagine being in a doctor-less hospital. No footsteps. No human contact. All you can see hear and feel are scraps of metal. Robots, some call them.

There has been an ongoing debate within the media, companies and people, like me and you weather it is a good idea to replace doctors with robots. it sounds pretty good. I would not mind, honestly, I think i will enjoy the strange feeling. That’s  just me. People who are heavily sick should not depend on robots to cure or treat them… I do not think so. These people like my nanny need attention, care, a rapport with their doctor in order to trust and be safe in their metallic hands. As far as I know, robots cannot feel, or have a conscience. Sure they  can be programmed to say sorry but do they mean it? Is a sorry enough for a big mistake like grabbing someones eyeball out?

To be honest, I’ am just thinking out loud. I may have a bad feeling about these robots taking over the whole pharmaceutical industry. In practice it may be pretty good.

My friend for example thinks it is an absolutely amazing idea. She does not trust doctors because all they use is the internet, tell you to exercise or force you to eat an apple a day to keep you away. She argues that these robotic doctors could save millions, in Africa where the work load is toooo high to cure. Doctors, human doctors are tooo expensive, they need food water shelter, but a robot does not. They just need to charge, as she is a smarty pants she argues that these robots could run on solar panels which makes their work practically free!

My mother, on the other hand,  does not trust them a bit!  The explanation that she gives is similar to mine with a twist, she believes that it could make people ambition-less. People fight hard to become doctors, if they are good or not, they still have to study, train, and spend a lot of money for degrees. She believe with her whole heart that if we carry on going the way we are, technology will ruin us.

What is more terrifying is that it is slowly already happening …. poppy

Meet the future face of healthcare assistance – a friendly faced robot named Pepper.

Its diction is still a little odd, and his movements sometimes a bit hesitant, but the robot is all geared up to help patients at two Belgian hospitals.

The humanoid assistant, who has a screen on his chest and a round head, is the first robot in the world to be used to greet people in a medical setting, its software creators said.

Some facts

Meat is being produced out of the animal’s body. Well the cells within animals are taken and grown in the lab within a little glass jar. The first cultured beef burger patty, created by Dr. Mark Post at Maastricht University, was eaten at a demonstration for the press in London in August 2013.

Genetic engineering, such as insertion, deletion, silencing, activation, or mutation of a gene, are not required to produce in-vitro meat. In-vitro meat is composed of a tissue or collection of tissues, which makes it A FUCKING GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). Since in-vitro meats are simply cells grown in a controlled, artificial environment, IS THIS THE SAME AS GENITICALLY MODIFIED VEGETABLES?! Will in vitro meat have the same reactions? Will it be cheaper than the real thing? Will people buy it because it is something that everyone is eating???

More research is being done on in-vitro meat, and although the production of in-vitro meat does not require techniques of genetic engineering, there is discussion among researchers about utilizing such techniques to improve the quality and sustainability of in-vitro meat. in-vitro meat will be INJECTED WITH nutrients such as beneficial fatty acids is one improvement that can be facilitated through genetic modification!!

IS THIS ETHICAL OR, EVEN RIGHT??

Julian Savulescu said “Artificial meat stops cruelty to animals, is better for the environment, could be safer and more efficient, and even healthier. We have a moral obligation to support this kind of research. It gets the ethical two thumbs up.” I DON’T THINK SO! If it’s not real, why eat it? In my eyes this is like eating plastic or paper. I do understand the benefits but to dumb it down, it is not real meat.

in-viitttJews disagree whether cultured meat is kosher (food that may be consumed, according to Jewish dietary laws).

Some Muslim scholars have stated that cultured meat would be allowed by Islamic law if the original cells and growth medium were halal.

THESE ARE RELIGONES, I RESPECT THEM BUUUTTT!! How can food be halal or kosher if it is not killed… make no sense in my head to be honest.

Be careful what you eat. You are what you eat, in this case plastic.

There is a very interesting shocking and a little worrying article on the guardian posted today, the 4.12.2016 about a robot who delivers food. The robot is fitter with GPS and a camera to see where it is and take pictures to remember the streets. There’s also a microphone to allow the robot to speak to you, if in fault it will ask for help.

My views.

At first I thought that fucking fantastic! Robots doing the job, keeping the food warm and being quite quick bringing it. No more of the delivery guy calling up and telling you that his lost, no more of giving tips, or cold food. My kinda of perfection for delivery!

Then, I thought again, let’s face it, we all like a bit of technology but once it starts taking over society it becomes too extreme! Jobs will be lost, although the the guardian says that there are not enough of delivery drivers, almost half of the men in my family are part of the delivery business. It will cause unemployment! Not everyone is going to like a robot bringing the food. Are old people going to like it? We are in an ageing society you know. th82PV7X0E.jpg

The companies are probably enjoying this very much, or are they? How expensive is this thing? Is this robot cheaper or more expensive than a person? What if it breaks down in the middle of the road? People must do something, either break it or fix it. It will be costly too, a company would have to be started to help this robot. I’m sure not everyone would know how to fix it, and no one would do it for free as well! Building a customer service and enquirers team for this robot, but then again it will provide jobs. For the smart people, anyway… Delivery drivers are usually foreign and come from a working-class background, replacing them with this robot will lead to these working class ethnic minorities to lose their job, and a middle class IT guy to get one. Am I the only one who does not like this idea?

I wouldn’t pay the robot! I’m broke. Paying a robot, just seems weird, not normal. It’s too futuristic. What’s next a robot cooking? Oops, sorry there’s already such a thing. Robot cleaning? Already exists. We are becoming a society dependent on technology. How many of you depend on your phone, iPad, laptop or any other piece of technology to wake you up! Exactly my point! We are becoming too technologically determined. Our lives are becoming based on scraps of metal !extra_large-1464362629-1552-robot-chef-that-can-cook-2-000-meals-set-to-go-on-sale-in-2017irobot-roomba-966-learn
